Gary
Baseman
is creator and executive
producer of the critically acclaimed animated television show for ABC/Disney
"Teacher's Pet. Teacher's Pet recently won two years in a row the Emmy award
for Best Daytime Animated series and a British Emmy (BAFTA) for best International
Children's Programming. His artwork can be seen in the pages of major publications
such as The New Yorker, Time, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and Blab. Mr.
Baseman best describes his work where the line between genius and stupidity
has been smudged beyond recognition. His work is in the permanent collection
of the National Portrait Gallery in D.C. and the Museum of Modern Art in Rome.
Baseman is currently working with Disney on a feature-length animated film due
out February 2004. His debut New York exhibition with the Earl McGrath Gallery
is scheduled for late October 2003.
